Everything but the bagel bowls

Here it is, the everything but the kitchen sink / everything but the bagel bowl recipe that you can mix and match whatever you have on hand, roast it off, and throw it all together! 

In today's kitchen sink variety, I've been sure to mix in good complex carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoes) with lots of great protein (chicken, chickpeas) and good fit fats (olive oil, homemade honey mustard dressing, avocado)

When you're making your own, simply ask yourself what you have on hand that's a carb, fat and protein to help round it out for a great Regular Macro Day meal. 

EBTB Kitchen Sink Bowls

-chicken tenders, diced

-1 sweet potato, sliced

-brussels sprouts, shaved

-bacon, to taste

-Trader Joe's Chili Lime Seasoning

-Trader Joe's Everything But the Bagel Seasoning


-Red Cabbage

-Chickpeas, drained, rinsed and dried


-microwavable brown rice



Toss the chickpeas with olive oil, salt, pepper and chili lime seasoning, roast at 400 for 30 minutes.

Combine the brussels sprouts with bacon and season with salt and pepper on half a baking sheet. On the other half, toss the sweet potato rounds with chili lime seasoning and cook at 375 for 25 minutes.

On another baking sheet, toss the cut up chicken with Everything But the Bagel Seasoning and olive oil. Place on 1/3 of the sheet pan. On the second third, combine the red cabbage (sliced) with the EBTB Seasoning and olive oil. On the remaining space of the sheet pan, toss the kale with the EBTB Seasoning and olive oil. Roast at 375 for 15 minutes. 

Heat your favorite brown rice up and add to the serving bowl along with a handful of arugula as the base. Then, simply place each of the toppings in the bowl. 

For a dressing, combine the following in a mason jar, shake and drizzle over the top of your bowl.

-2 tablespoons olive oil

-1 tablespoon stone ground mustard

-1 teaspoon honey

-juice of 1/2 lemon

-salt and pepper
